An absorption tower is a device that enables absorption operations. It can be divided into three categories according to the contact morphology of gasliquid phase. The first type includes plate towers, bubble absorption towers, and stirred bubble absorption towers where gas is dispersed in the liquid phase in the form of bubbles; The second is the ejector, venturi and spray tower with liquid dispersed in the gas phase in the form of droplets; The third category includes packed absorption towers and falling film absorption towers where liquids move in a membrane like manner and come into contact with the gas phase. The flow mode of gasliquid twophase in the tower can be counter current or co current. Usually, countercurrent operation is used, where the absorbent is added to the top of the tower and flows from top to bottom, coming into contact with the gas flowing from bottom to top. The liquid that absorbs the absorbent is discharged from the bottom of the tower, and the purified gas is discharged from the top of the tower.
