Flash evaporation tower is a chemical equipment that achieves rough gasliquid phase separation of materials in the chemical production process.
Flash evaporation is the process where highpressure saturated water enters a relatively lowpressure container, and due to a sudden decrease in pressure, this saturated water is transformed into a portion of the saturated water vapor and saturated water under container pressure.
Reasons for the formation of flash evaporation phenomenon:
When water is heated at atmospheric pressure, 100 ℃ is the maximum temperature allowed for liquid water at that pressure. Heating again cannot increase the temperature of water, but can only convert it into steam. The heat absorbed by water during the process of heating up to boiling point is called "sensible heat", or the sensible heat of saturated water. The heat required to convert saturated water into steam at the same atmospheric pressure is called "latent heat". However, if water is heated under a certain pressure, its boiling point will be higher than 100 ℃, so more sensible heat is required. The higher the pressure, the higher the boiling point of water and the higher the heat content. When the pressure decreases, some sensible heat is released, and this excess heat is absorbed in the form of latent heat, causing some water to "flash evaporate" into steam.
